Downer show this week. Our father died this week from complications of heart failure at the age of 78. It was not surprising, but still awful.
This show is just a short tribute to him and probably some kind of therapy for me. We will be back next week with our normal show. Thank so much to everyone that has reach out with kind words.

I just wanted to let you know that I was really touched by this week’s episode. My father passed away when I was a kid and video games/Pokèmon was a huge outlet for me to take a break from hard things and enjoy life with close friends. I’ll be thinking of and lifting up you and your family.
I’m not a long time listener, but I really appreciate what you said about us being friends and the community you and your brother have created. I grew up in DFW, attended Texas Tech for college, started working in the corporate world, and now love podcasts and Pokemon Go. I feel like I know you guys and that’s a comforting feeling. I cannot imagine how hard it would be to go through all that as a kid. I’m glad you liked the show. You really do know us and we really do care about you. Podcasts are just magic like that.
